We popped down to The Manhattan Fish Market over the weekend to try their all-new breakfast menu.
There are 7 different items and we had a chance to try almost all of them!
The kids were very impressed. Within minutes, K declared, “This place has very good kid service.”
That was probably because they came with colouring and activity sheets, colour pencils (which they helped sharpen upon request), and even a pack of Happy Families cards for the kids to play with, whilst waiting for the food. When we were leaving, they were given a bright red balloon each too.
The Eggs Benedict Sharing Platter ($17.95) was a hit. The sausage was the best part, and B loved the mini hash brown pops. There’s turkey bacon strips on the eggs Benedict too.
This would nicely feed two adults, and is probably perfect for sharing between an adult and child too, since there are kiddy favourites like pancakes with maple syrup.
The Big Brekkie ($9.95) was our favourite. The scrambled eggs were done well, and the sautéed mushrooms in a tortilla bowl were yummy. It also comes with two portions of Cherry Snapper fish – healthy!
We also tried the Glory Fish Tower ($7.95) which featured dory fish with juicy onion slices – I really enjoyed the coleslaw that it came with.
The Smoked Salmon and Mushroom Sandwich ($8.95) was not bad, and it was interesting to see the poached egg in the tortilla bowl.
The Nutella & Banana French Toast ($4.95) was very chocolatey, and the Berry Happy Pancakes ($7.95) were delicious and a kid-pleaser.
For the Marshmallow Cocoa ($3.90) , they actually brought a blowtorch and singed the marshmallows in front of us. The kids were amazed.
The Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice ($3.90) was a winner, cos you know, fresh juice!
So if you’re looking for a leisurely weekend brunch at good prices, it’s worth checking out a Manhattan Fish Market near you.
Note: Thanks Manhattan Fish Market for the invite!
