The Clueless Goat is a little cafe in Novena, located at Goldhill Centre (next to United Square, opposite Novena Square).
Apart from its quirky name (a nod to the goat who ‘discovered’ coffee), it has pretty sound ‘cafe credentials’. Its owners used to work at Penny University, and they get their coffee beans from Common Man Coffee Roasters. I’m not a coffee drinker, so can’t comment on the coffee. 😛
One thing that impressed me was their prices. At $13.80 for the British Breakfast Platter (not pictured here), it’s certainly a lot cheaper than Chye Seng Huat, and I’d say the ambience and food standard is comparable.
What you see above is the Cremini Melt ($8), which comprises sauteed garlic butter cremini mushrooms with swiss melt cheese on sourdough bread. Delicious, according to my friend who had it.
The Eggs Benedict ($11.80) above seemed very similar to the Ranchers Eggs ($8), apart from the addition of honey baked ham or smoked salmon. So that’s what the $3.80 more is for…
Here’s the Panko Chicken sandwich ($9.50), which was pretty tasty but the toasted ciabatta was very tough to cut through! We also tried the Truffle Tater Tots ($6), which are little potato pops with truffle oil. They were quite meh; or so-so at best.
It’s a convenient cafe near an mrt station, so if you’re looking for somewhere new to try, no harm popping by.

I liked this place! But I always wonder, what is “clue-less”? So like he had less clues than the other goats in a game of treasure hunt? 😀

Haha you mean why Clue-less as opposed to Clueless? I didn’t really notice! And have called it “clueless” throughout this post! Most likely cos they were worried that peeps would call it “cluel-ess”or something, like some fancy french name.
