Shalom Christian Media Bookshop – 15% discount on now!

Shalom Christian Media Bookshop is one of our favourite bookstores in Singapore, and they are currently having a 15% discount!

Here are some details from Francis, who runs the Bookroom:

(1) The bookroom will be reopened starting this Sat, 17 Oct. from 9am to 9pm. A store wide 15% discount will apply to all purchases until the end of this year (Dec 2020), if the Lord tarries in His return.

(2) For those not keen on in-person browsing at the bookroom due to safety concerns (we understand!), but still want to get good, biblical books, please email or whatsapp me (Francis at 97347190) to get an excel list of all the available books, then confirm your order and we will deliver the books to you free of charge!

(3) All books will be available on first-come-first-serve basis, and while stock lasts.  Consider getting a book to cheer & surprise the person for this end of the year?

(4) Kindly observe the following safety measures for those planning to come to the bookroom (this to also fulfill Matt. 22: 39!):

– SafeEntry QR scan is a must

– temperature will be taken (note: 37.5 & above will be turned away)

– Hands to be sanitized before entry

– Mask-on throughout browsing

– safe distancing to be observed 

– cashless payment via paynow 

– 8 pax allowable in the bookroom at any one time

Apart from quality Christian children’s picture books and books for early primary school kids, Shalom has a very carefully curated expanse of Reformed Christian literature.

Since this is run by Shalom (Reformed Baptist) Church as a ministry, the prices of the books they bring in direct from overseas publishers are much cheaper than what you can get from brick and mortar shops, and even usually cheaper than from Book Depository. Plus now with a 15% discount, prices are quite unbeatable.

Before they started accepting PayNow a year or two ago, the hubs and I used to go down with a blank cheque, heh.

Cos their books are really good, and we don’t like carrying cash around, so we never know what will end up in our book purchase stack!

This time round, this was our book haul! Some are presents, as you’d probably guess.

The hubs overdoses on puritan lit as usual, and I managed to limit myself to one Nancy Guthrie – love her writing and her heart for those who hurt. Heard her speak at length during the Sing!Global 2020 conference too, and it was one of the most helpful talks of the conference.

So head on down to Shalom, and grab yourself and your family (as well a your friends) some great Christian literature to nourish your soul and spur you on to more love and good works. For justification must have its working out in continual sanctification even as we co-labour to build up the community of saints.
