Reeling from the huge bonus you got from your suddenly-generous boss?
Want to help the needy who are often unseen in Singapore?
Here’s one very practical and convenient way to do it.
You may ask, so why doesn’t the Boys’ Brigade just ask for monetary donations, take the money and make direct purchases from suppliers who can deliver them to homes?
Well, my guess is that the BB have wisely decided that it’s more meaningful to let Singaporeans be a part of this – it really is such a blessing to participate in this, and even more so if you get your kids to be part of it!
We are thankful for the opportunity and have scheduled at least one grocery run, and have signed up to help deliver the groceries on one Saturday morning!
Pre-loved toys the girls and I chose to set aside to give away. |
I got the girls to spend one evening choosing and packing away some of their toys to give away, should they meet other kids when we make the delivery! Was really happy that both of them agreed readily, and started sifting through their toy boxes and selected quite a lot of stuff.
We managed to bundle them all into these two hardy bags! |
Looking forward to the grocery purchase and delivery! Selected NTUC outlets have BB boys manning counters. If you are buying in bulk, do inform the NTUC staff to keep them in cartons to facilitate moving the food around.
More updates on our shopping when we’re done!
